Donald Trump took to Truth Social with his signature flair on Wednesday, declaring that the much-hyped August 1 deadline “stands strong” and “will not be extended,” calling it a “BIG DAY FOR AMERICA!!!”
“The August First Deadline is the August First Deadline,” Trump wrote in all caps. “It stands strong, and will not be extended. A BIG DAY FOR AMERICA!!!”
After a week of subdued action, major crypto assets are showing signs of modest decline, with the market remaining broadly sluggish.

Bitcoin (BTC) hovered near $117,555, posting a minor 0.9% drop in the past 24 hours. Ethereum (ETH) followed suit at $3,757, down 1.9%, while XRP saw the biggest correction among top caps, despite holding at $3.05, it’s now 11.6% lower over the week. Solana (SOL) fell to $177.19, down 10.3% over the week, while BNB slipped nearly 5%, landing at $783.67.
Stablecoins like USDT and USDC held steady, indicating that large volumes remain parked on the sidelines—USDT’s 24-hour volume stood at a staggering $81.6 billion, nearly double Bitcoin’s.
The total market cap still floats around $2.3 trillion, largely carried by Bitcoin’s dominance.
