How to fix Pay passkey error on Android devices
Why does the Pay passkey error happen?
Passkey error on Android devices occurs when Google Play Services fails to process passkey authentication for OKX Pay or OKX Card.
This prevents your device from completing certain verification or authorization actions. You can usually resolve the issue by updating Google Play Services or deleting the damaged Pay passkey stored in your Google Password Manager.
How to fix Pay passkey error?
We recommend two solutions. Start with Method 1, and if the issue continues, follow Method 2 to remove the damaged passkey and recreate it.
Method 1: Update Google Play services
Go to Settings > All applications on your phone and locate Google Play services.
Locate Google Play services in your phone's application list
Select the kebab menu icon and select Uninstall updates.
Select Uninstall updates
After the updates are removed, scroll down and select App details to open the Google Play Store page.
Scroll down to find 'App details'
Select Update and wait for the update to complete.
Update the app
Restart your device (this step is important).
Return to OKX and retry your actions.
If the error still appears, continue with Method 2.
Method 2: Remove the damaged Pay passkey from Google Password Manager
If updating Google Play Services does not resolve the issue, your Pay passkey stored in Google Password Manager may be damaged.
How do I delete the damaged Pay passkey in my Google Password Manager?
To delete the same Pay passkey in Google Password Manager, please go to the Google Play Store app.
Select your profile icon and sign in to your Google account.

Open Google Password Manager.
Go to Google Password Manager
Find the passkey(s) for OKX Pay with the prefix "OKX Pay (Date)" and delete it.

Once deleted, return to the OKX Pay app. You will be prompted to create a new Pay passkey.
After creating the new Pay Passkey, reach out to Customer Support and request a Pay Passkey reset for your account. This ensures your new Pay Passkey is fully activated and ready to use for Pay mode transactions.
