Why Move to OKX Now?
There's a regulatory angle worth knowing, too. The EU's crypto rulebook, MiCA, gave exchanges an 18-month grace period to get properly licensed, and that period ended on 1 July 2026. Exchanges without a MiCA licence are now operating outside the rules in the EEA, which can mean account restrictions, forced offboarding, or delayed withdrawals for their users.
