Before placing a trade, you can choose margin mode. Then, proceed to:

Margin mode on the Trading page

  1. Select the button next to your leverage to view the two options: isolated and cross.

  2. The isolated mode and cross mode are as below:

    • In isolated mode, only the margin allocated to that position is at risk. If the position is liquidated, other funds in your trading account are not used to cover that loss.

    • In cross mode, your available USDT balance in your trading account may be used across positions. This may reduce the likelihood of liquidation for a particular position, but losses on one position may affect other funds in the account.

With isolated mode, the estimated liquidation price is generally closer, but losses are limited to the margin allocated to that position. With cross mode, the estimated liquidation price may be further away, but more of your trading account balance may be exposed to loss.

Derivatives involve a significant risk of loss and may not be suitable for all investors. This information is general in nature and is not investment advice.
