Shiba Inu Exec Highlights Major Milestone As SHIB Clocks 5

Shiba Inu turned five on August 1, 2025, five years after launching as a meme coin.

To mark the date, SHIB Executive Lucie shared major achievements, including key milestones the project has attained.

These breakthroughs focus on price history and the coin’s growth into a larger crypto project backed by a strong global community.

SHIB at Five: Lucie Shares Project Milestones

It is worth noting that Shiba Inu (SHIB) has turned five, turning out to be one of the pioneering memecoins in the market.

As disclosed, the token, first launched on August 1, 2020, was created by the anonymous founder Ryoshi.

To show the community members the progress, Shiba Inu executive Lucie posted a summary of the project’s stats over the years.

Lucie’s post highlighted important figures from SHIB’s history.

To begin with, she mentioned that the coin’s lowest recorded price was $0.00000004 in March 2021.

Its highest price came months later at $0.0000885 on October 28, 2021. On the same day, its market cap reached about $41 Billion.

According to the post, between October 27 and 28, 2021, SHIB recorded its highest daily trading volume of about $30 Billion.

Furthermore, Lucie noted that the token had been listed on roughly 115 exchanges as of the time of writing.

More importantly, she also mentioned that over 1.5 million wallets currently hold SHIB.

It is important to add that since its launch, the token has seen a growth of about 21,600,000%

Beyond price figures, Lucie also pointed to major project milestones. ShibaSwap, the project’s decentralized exchange, went live in July 2021.

In August 2023, the team launched Shibarium, a layer-2 blockchain that aimed to expand SHIB’s use and cut transaction fees.

Global Community Joins In to Celebrate

People in the SHIB community, known as the SHIBArmy, also joined in the celebration.

Many shared posts online to mark the day and look back on how far the project has come.

A SHIB supporter known as KURO from Japan posted, “SHIB, Happy 5th Birthday! From meme to movement!”

Another user, The Dark Shib, looked back on how SHIB started. He credited Ryoshi with starting one of the most talked-about crypto projects in recent years.

His post described Shiba Inu as a symbol of what can happen when many people commit to a shared goal.

In addition, supporters highlighted how the token moved from being a joke coin to becoming a broader ecosystem.

They spoke about how the community has stayed active and loyal through highs and lows.

Shiba Inu Grows Beyond Meme Origin

It is important to add that Lucie’s post and others reflected how SHIB had moved past just talking about price.

Over time, it brought in more users and introduced features like ShibaSwap and Shibarium.

The perception in the market is that what started as a simple idea has slowly taken shape into something more structured.

Lucie’s recap helped remind people of where it all began and the progress made since then.

The anniversary came as Shiba Inu kept moving away from its early reputation as just a meme coin.

There were no promises about the future in her post, only facts and figures from the last five years.

If anything is clear, that tone matched how the community marked the day, not with hype, but with a focus on the journey so far.

It is important to add that as SHIB enters its sixth year, it remains to be seen what comes next.

However, for now, both the team and its community have taken a moment to look back at what has been built since 2020.
