6. How do I receive payments on Pay?
When someone sends you USDC, USDG or USDT, you'll get an instant push notification from the OKX app, letting you know the funds are on their way.
If the sender shares a payment link via SMS or email, clicking the link will take you directly to our app download page (if you don’t have it yet), allowing you to access your funds.
Note: Before you can claim or use the funds, you must complete identity verification. This is required to meet compliance standards and protect both you and your assets from fraudulent activity.
Without completing this step, you won’t be able to receive or manage the transferred assets.
Open the OKX app to review the amount and sender's info.
If you have a Pay account, the funds will automatically appear in your Pay balance.
If you are an existing OKX user without a Pay account, you'll need to follow the Pay onboarding process to activate Pay. Then, the funds will automatically appear in your Pay balance.
If you're a non-OKX user, you'll need to create a OKX account and a Pay account. Only then, the funds will automatically appear in your Pay balance.
Once you receive the payment, you can then:
Send funds to other people.
Transfer to your Exchange account and convert the funds to your local currency.

Yes, just enter their phone number or email address. If you've imported your contacts, simply search for the recipient’s name, phone number and email address. If the recipient doesn't have an OKX Account, they will need to create one in order to receive the payment. The recipient will need to create an OKX account within 48 hours to claim the funds. If they don’t create an account within 48 hours, the funds will be returned to the sender.
8. Do I need an OKX account to use Pay?
Yes, you'll need to have a registered OKX account and complete identity verification and create a Pay account to send and receive payments with Pay.
9. How do I recover my OKX Pay account after switching devices?
Switching to a new device: if you switch to a new device, you can continue using your passkey normally as long as your new account (Google or Apple ID on the new device) supports passkeys and you sign in with your existing account on the new device. This is because passkeys are stored in the cloud (e.g., Google Password Manager or iCloud Keychain) rather than on a single device.
Switching from Android to iPhone: when using a passkey across different operating systems, you can complete verification by scanning a QR code. When you initiate an action that requires passkey verification on your new iPhone, the new device will generate a QR code. Use your old Android device to scan the QR code. Once verified, you can complete the transaction or action. Note that this requires your passkey on the Android device to still be functioning normally.
10. How can I access Pay if it is not supported on my Android devices?
If you want to access Pay features, you must create a passkey. We recommend logging in to Google services or using an iOS device.
11. If my device does not support facial recognition, can I still use Pay?
Yes, you can still use Pay and log in using a fingerprint or password.
