Our Indonesian and Filipino users are now able to purchase crypto directly using your local currency, in addition to P2P trading and on-chain deposits — and it's fast, simple, and secure. Whether you're using Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) or Philippine Peso (PHP), owning crypto is now easier than ever.

How do I buy crypto with cash in Indonesia or Philippines?

Below is an example of the buying process using the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) as an example:

  1. To buy crypto with your local fiat currency, you can either:

    • Select the Buy option on the homepage and select Buy Crypto from the main menu, or

    • Select Buy under the Manage Assets section on the User Center page.

  2. The Buy screen will load with your selected local currency

  3. If this is your first order, you'll be prompted to enable the service. Account activation is typically instant. Once enabled, you can begin placing orders.

  4. Choose your preferred cryptocurrency, such as USDT, BTC, or ETH. You can also select your preferred payment method, such as a bank transfer or digital wallet.

  5. Enter your desired cash or crypto amount on the Buy page. Then select Pay with [TransFi], before selecting Preview to continue.

  6. Select your payment method with TransFi, before selecting Next

  7. Review the order, then select Buy [Crypto] to continue

  8. You'll be redirected to our service provider, TransFi, to complete the payment. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed to the process completion

  9. Your order status will appear as Pending while the transaction is being processed. Once completed, the status will be updated to Completed in your TransFi's Order History page.

  10. You can access the Order History page through the selection of Sheet icon on the Buy page.

Note: please complete your payment within the payment window ( within 30 minutes) to avoid automatic cancellation.

FAQ

1. Do I have a buy limit on buying crypto with cash?

Your 30-day buy limit is set at $10,000 USD. If you have hit that limit, you'll need to lower your buying amount to continue purchasing crypto with cash, or wait until your limit resets.

2. Can I place another order while I still have an incomplete order?

You can place multiple orders at any time

3. I can't see the new gateway. Why?

You'll need to update your app to version 6.170 or above. If you're already on the latest version and still can't see it, please reach out to us via OKX Assistant and we'll follow up.

4. I've already made the payment but haven't received my crypto yet. Why?

Crypto transfers are processed via the blockchain network and can take up to 20 minutes to arrive. Please wait and check again after that window.
